Martha seems a bit camera-shy. Your good shows the detail on the feathers quite nicely!
Beautiful!
Thanks!
such a great caption Sandy
These ducks are so cute.
You can see they each have their own unique personalities.
How cute! One tends to look past the less colorful females and concentrate on the more elaborately feathered males. Your photo shows that the female markings are pretty too...
Nebraska Birding
Maybe Martha hadn't put on her makeup yet. Lovely shot of the mallard's feathers.
Lol, fun shot! Love their colors. Btw please visit my skywatch friday post to see the sepia photo you requested...thanks!
how cute! Martha just need more beauty sleep. She will be ok.
Haha, cute. I love ducks.
What kind of camera do you use for all of these shots?
Carletta: What a great shot of the female Mallard Duck with the dirty beak.
Really great shot such detail. Thanks for stopping by
I love the mallards and probably spend way too much time watching them on the pond, but I find them so interesting...
Martha is an interesting name for a young drake. I predict he will get in many squabbles on the pond before he fully matures.
The hens are a much more solid brown, and the young drakes have the "shadow" on the top of their head where the darker "skull cap" will be.
Fun post ... great photo and perfect title!!!
Hugs and blessings,
Don't they have the prettiest coloring and design in their feathers? Super photo Carletta. Funny enough I have done a series of duck photos from my critter entry this week.
Bwahahaha! You are so clever, Carletta!
The detailing on the feathers is terrific and that title made me smile.
I adore those ducks! Just one sentence from you, but it gave me a great grin :). Thank you. Best wishes.

Love the detail in this - what a delightful photo. There is a mating pair I see everyday in the woods. Yesterday the male proudly showed her off just in front of me :)
Beautiful!! I love ducks!!
Bigger size is so much more rewarding isn't it?
Great detail on Ms. Mallard's feathers. Well done -- and I love the caption, too!
