That is a beautiful wood carving done from a tree. Whoever did it was very talented.
All he needs now are some wooden fish.
What a beautiful carving! Fantastic work.
The carving is great but I really love the park. Is there ice skating here when the pond is frozen?
stately heron, it's a rare breed.
That is a wonderful heron, although his beak kind of reminds me of a flamingo...
You ask about the macro lens - no, I do not have one, just the Nikon Coolpix. I would love to have a more advanced camera, but for now, this is what I have. Sometimes it does what I want, and sometimes it doesn't.
The talent of some people never ceases to wow me. How cool!
What an interesting carving. That park looks very inviting.
Its a great piece of artwork. But he looks so lonesome, and if he could speak, he would rather be in the lake.
Great angles.
I do like coming across stuff like this....
Hey cool. Was that part of that tree?
I saw the title and thought it was going to be a real one...this is really a nice carving...not disappointed that it wasn't real now.
wonderful statue and the flowers on this page are so lovely to see!
I wonder how that wood stands up to the freezing temperatures of your area...but...what a great heron it is! I am guessing that is a very nice park...
Carletta, what a fine image, so serene and joyful.
Have a beautiful day!
:D
That's the coolest statue I've seen in a long while :D
Beautiful place, I love this statue, it looks special !
Fabulous carving!!! I would LOVE to have one in my yard!! (would love to have a real one too)
Great photo and it looks nice in that park!
What a beautiful winter scene...
This is pretty shot...Happy watery Wednesday.
Mine is up
A very fun photo.. Thank you
Really nice shot!:-)
What a wonderful wood carving!
Wonderful sculpture. Was it created by a local artist?
Carletta: Of the two heron photos I must admit I love this one best.
I love that statue and another great photograph.
Wonderful photo for Watery Wednesday. That's a very kewl wooden carving of the heron! Kind of reminds me of the metal sculptures of pelicans around here. Sorry to be so late to visit ... hope all's well with you and yours.
Hugs and blessings,
Small Reflections
