THIS IS A CLOSE UP SHOT OF THE WOODEN HERON FROM MY PREVIOUS POST. IT SITS BY THE POND IN OUR LOCAL PARK. I DUPLICATED THE ORIGINAL LAYER AND THEN FOR A SELECTIVE SEPIA EFFECT I ERASED THE COLOR FROM THE HERON ONLY AND THEN ADDED SOME TEXTURE TO AGE IT SOMEWHAT. HOPE YOU ENJOY.
This is very pretty... the Sepia effect is my favorite effect.
I love the little bit of blue that you pulled through! Very majestic bird watching over his pond. Beautiful texture in the background as well. Very nicely done!
If you'd like to stop by my blog I'm at Cake Crumbs.
He looks so proud. I like it!
Yes, I enjoy! I think it looks really nice & I also like the texture. Nice!
Love what you did with this heron, Carletta!! Wonderful sepia! Happy Sepia Scenes! :)
Will send you out a blank Valentine in sepia for your collection... :)
That's the best way to "age" - in cyberspace.
This guy has quite a commanding presence!
Nice selective sepia work, Carletta.
Great image ....
what a nice capture :) love it!
u may view mine here
Beautiful Carletta - I'd be happy to have this picture on my wall...
I really like this, your selective colorization is really nice.
Except for the color, this bird is faithful to the original avian. His stance, on only one spindly leg, is about right. He ought to be in the water. Beautiful winter capture!
That's just beautiful my friend. I just love it. :)
Lovely shot :)
Carletta, this is pretty. So is the original.
What bothers me is that since this guy is wooden someone has to paint him every now and then or he would be looking like the tree stump. :)
..
He is quite the handsome creature, I love both photos.
Great colourtone. I like the photo.
Now that is Cool! I find how the light reflects off of the heron to be interesting...
I love what you have done with this photo Carletta. Your creative additions give warmth to an already very enjoyable image, and that is a beautiful carving and setting. Have a great weekend.
Wonderful sepia this week with the hint of blue.
Nice use of leaving in a bit of color! Striking.
Nice work! I love the selective sepia you applied here!
Both versions are outstanding but I think I like this one the best. The heron really stands out against the sepia tone. Great job! :)
I love the little bit of blue seeping through, and shades of russet too.
Lovely capture, Carletta.
