I do have the softest spot for these in the green sense and the graceful line sense as well

Terrific shots, Carletta! They do look like gentle giants wearing their soft pink colors against the lovely sky! Funny, you don't normally think of them in that way, but coloring and setting does it all!

Enjoy your weekend!

Wonderful sunset light in this thrilling image, Carletta. These windmills seem very modern flowers in the countryside.
Have a nice day!

Good photograph of the Giants silently at work and the light from the setting sun lights them up very nice.

Carletta - I love these pictures and windmill farms in general. I also think it's great that you named them gentle giants - such a wonderful landscape of images and words.

Lovely shots, as always, Carletta.
They look as though they're about to take a bow and say" That's it for today folks" but they're not- that's the good thing about machinery!

Ebie said...

Cool! The glow from the sun is turning the grass to bronze! Beautiful skies!

These windmills are really interesting. I have seen some being transported on trucks and railroad cars (disassembled, of course) and they are huge! There are huge windfarms along the Columbia River on the border between Washington and Oregon, and a traveler along the interstate can see a lot of them.
Nice shots, the light is wonderful.

My first contact with wind turbines was In Tiverton ,Ontario where I worked at the first wind turbine farm. There has been many more since. I think you have done a marvelous job showing the giants and the warm sun reflecting off them.

These are neat pictures! WE saw a lot of these in Ca. but have none where we are.

Love the soft colors of the sky.

I have a pastel sky this time, too!
