I really like this first photo and the color in it. It's amazing what a difference the lighting makes as far as the perceived color is concerned.
I have had these in flower arrangements before, just did not know the name. Love the vivid purple colour of them!

I've always loved Statice... a beautiful effect the way the first image is so soft and blurred in the background and then the ruffles of flower come into focus in the foreground...beautiful!

I never knew what this flower is named. I love the way it still looks the same for years. I have some laying on my microwave out of somebody's elses flower arrangement.
