We are already beginning to have some fall colors too. Not sure why it's starting so early. Beautiful shot you took.

Very lovely scenery, Carletta!
The clouds seem to follow the line of the trees!

Our crab apple has a few red leaves too; I said that it must have seen the school bus go by yesterday! LOL

Oh yes, automn is coming, but I kind of like it.:) Beautiful sky shot.

I saw a few in New England as well, but in a futile bid to keep summer from ending I refused to photograph them. Didn't work, they kept showing up anyway.

Ah, we're seeing a hint of them, too! And, yes, say it isn't so!!! Terrific shot though! Great clouds!

Enjoy!

Oh, it's just those few leaves that turn red early...like every year (I HOPE!).

Welcome back - I assume you've returned. ;-)

Nice shot of a beautiful sky...and yes it does look like a hint of red in those leaves already!

I actually prefer autumn. I love when the leaves change colors and begin to fall.

No, not all ready. It could be here soon too looking at that sky. What has happened to summer this year. Makes for a great shot though.

Hi Carletta, I am so looking forward to the Fall. Love the clouds!

Oh this reminds me August is on its way out too, which means, yes, more red leaves soon.

Happy skywatching.

Hi Carletta, nice to see you back. Lovely fall colors.

Deborah Godin said...

At least the clouds are nice and summery-looking, in spite of those telltale bits of red!

Regina said...

So clear and beautiful. Well captured.

George said...

We're getting some red leaves as well, and I'm not ready for that! But you got a great capture of not only the leaves but the clouds as well.

I want to hang on to summer a bit longer too.

Actually the tree in the neighbor's front yard is showing some color changes in the leaves too. How can that be when we've really not had summer yet??? Beautiful skies ;--)

wowww..so summer will almost be over? Nice skywatch photo, Carletta.

Happy weekend!

Interesting! Looks like the new leaves are red - may be they turn green as they mature.
Glad to see you back. Hope you had nice vacation!

Beautiful sky....I'm not ready for fall yet, but we'll welcome its beauty when it comes.

I am clinging to summer trying to make it last a bit longer. The red leaves only serve to make my feeling more intense, though fall, when it comes is so beautiful.

I am pretending I do not see them. Not in your photo, and not here, either. So you have posted a lovely photo of clouds!
(Who says you can't live in Denial?)

They certainly do and this is a magnificent shot Carletta. Those clouds are spectacular.

Gattina said...

Oh nooooooo please !! I hate automn ! I prefer to look at your beautiful fluffy white clouds in the blue sky !

Adrienne Zwart said...

The clouds seem to be mimicking the shape of the tree. I haven't really noticed any fall color yet. It will be here before I know it, though.

Lavender and Vanilla Friends of the Gardens said...

The stormy clouds still look summery; perhaps the red are "only" flowers or new growth!

Janice Thomson said...

Here too. Summer was awfully darn short this year. Super photo Carletta.

Janie said...

We're seeing a little yellow on the cottonwood trees. Yes, autumn is on the way.
