So THAT's what they look like. Heard people talk about them, but had never actually seen one. Great photo. :]

Lovely color... did you notice that it matches the moth? (Or maybe the moth matches the flower....)

I don't think I usually see petunias in red - and how far down did you have to get to photograph this one? Or was it hanging?

Very bold and meaty red! Matches perfectly the beautiful moth - may be that is where it got its colors :)

nice photo, pretty red petunia.

The flower stands out so well, not just from the red - the blurred background puts all other things out of sight so we may enjoy the ruby flora!

I love the 'rear' perspective against the blurred background and the color of this unusual Petunia ;--)

oh I just love that you took this photo from the back of the flower, hardly anyone does and it is a knockout! :)

I like the perspective on this...the underside...very unique. I also like the play of light and shadow. This is a beauty RT photo.

Never saw a ruby red petunia. I did have a pretty yellow and white one that is all over the front of our house. I think it is new this year and boy is it a big one. I really like these flowers and you captured it very well.

That's the rough backside of a very pretty red petunia. Sometimes it just isn't possible keep our best side up front.
Happy RT! I didn't do RT this week but do have a MidWeek Blues post for tomorrow up today. I had to cross the pond again and did a Blue Shutter theme and ended with a blue car.

As always Carletta your pictures here thrill me and inspire me.

Carletta... for some reason I cannot load your Round The Bend Blog... I have tried many times this last week and tweaked my settings both on blogger, and Internet Explorer to see if I can fix it. What happens is that the Blog takes a while to load... and my cursor turns to the hour glass... while this is going on I can not move away from your the page.. once everything as loaded and I scroll down if seems to freeze again... and when that sorts itself out and I try to click the comments it frezes again... I have had to turn my PC of a number of times at the Tower Unit as it will not respond at all.
All I can think off is that some add-on or gadgit you might be using is causing this.... I have had similar trouble on one or two blogs where music lists are..

This still might be a problem at my end... but I wanted to inform you about it as it is stopping me from visiting and commenting.
Your friend Tom

We have petunia in our garden, too, but we don't have the ruby red. :)
