I took the original color image and duplicated the layer then changed it to sepia. I felt the image looked too flat so I enhanced the edges which made the cabin stand out on its own. The cabin has been sitting in our local city park since 1910. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. It exhibits a fascinating assortment of artifacts dating from the 1700’s to the 1900’s including furniture, clothing, photographs, one of the United States’ largest button collections and wood from a tree planted by Johnny Appleseed.

It is a timeless photo! It could be as old as the building itself - nice work!

I love this photo. It looks like it was taken years and years back when there was no digital camera yet. Its wonderful and I like the character, very special.

This scene is perfect in sepia. Except for the air conditioner in the upstairs window, this could have been taken in 1850, the antique sepia aging the shot so nicely!

The sepia tones really give it an aged look that suits the building. Cool.

Did you say buttons? Lead me to them, ha. What a great shot and you have done it justice by applying sepia to it. Beautiful.

Marvelous scene taking me back in time. Thanks for explaining how you altered this photograph. I've not yet experimented with sepia yet, but I hope to one of these days.
