I haven't been out this week so I pulled this from my archives. It is a swollen stream from last May. It's hard to believe that in just two short months everything will again be this green and lush!

A river and the forest. What a great combination! I would love to stroll around and take a deep breath here. Best wishes :)

Looks like a great place to go for a walk after a hard day at work! Lovely!

We have had problems with flooding with all the rain. But the green that comes with May will be very welcome...

Looks like a flowing creek right after a rain. Is it? I bet it's nice to lay down in a boat and flow along.

Oh, I also have a photo of a river, almost the same color as this. So lush indeed.

Looks like a nice river stream even if it's out of its banks. I love all that green!

This is a great "teaser" shot for what we have to look forward to in a few months! It's amazing how quickly everything starts growing once it warms up.

Beautiful!

Beautiful! So natural and lush! I just love nature!

Lovely shot. We are having flood threats here. I really should check with my friends and make sure everything is ok with them. My friend Sue (didn't know her then) was flooded out in the big floods we had here three years ago. They panic whenever the river rises now.

Hi Carletta, great shot. The foliage on each side of the river makes a wonderful photo. Looking forward to everywhere turning green myself.

How beautiful, Carletta. Nature at its loveliness. I like the tones and texture blends.

Thanks for visiting my blog, too!

Carletta: We have the same here, we have had 2" or more of rain so everything is flowing.

Swollen is right! Is that even below flood stage? Looks like it could be pretty close.

Our snow is gone now. Been gone for days. That shot was taken in the mountains several years ago. The same day as my That's My World post from this week actually. Same day as the second shot from my TMW post I mean.

In the Kublakan
Zanzibar did decree
that ALF the sacred flows through caverns unknown to man.
Where do all the sacred rivers flow?
If not to eturnity around the bend
There it is in a glance, swollen,
and filled with se(d)(nt)iment
a path on which to float on too
round the earth
it is the water that unites,
not fear,
as does the air of Heirs,
and spirit which is seen
on cool foggy breath of a night
but as for the light,
you put it there,
an inspiration for us all
and to folks like me
to folks of the north
you've shown us all
that 'spring is near.'
I'll break out the canoe today
and go out and play
braving the river, to know
there is Spring on the way.

A poem to say
Thank you
