My lilacs are just starting to bud. The buds are so high in the tree right now, it would be hard to take photos of them without a ladder! I wait all year for lilacs, wish they could stay longer than they do!
Oh I love lilac, it definitely speaks of the start of sumer to me, as it blooms here in May.

Homesick seriously. I remember watching the lilaces and waiting for the beautiful flowers. And scent! The unfurling leaves are beautiful and I can't wait to see the full flowering bush even if only virtually.
