Remarkable. You must have the patience of Job to get such spectacular shots. I can never seem to be still so they'll land.

Gorgeous shot! That field must have had lots of butterflies all the time.

Butterflies have such fragile, short lives - but this is beautiful. The depth of colour in those flowers is wonderful.

Tattered, but still beautiful!

I have some pics of the very same kind of butterfly that I found-apparently almost at the end of it's life cycle...It was on the ground ,unable to fly. But it was still beautiful.(made me feel sad- but that's life)

Hugs))

I love the way you not only captured the butterfly feeding but also the field of those beautiful purple flowers.

Beautiful Carletta -- maybe torn and tattered but still hanging in there and looking great (might be a moral in there somewhere!)

Lovely butterfly. What is it? It looks like a Papilio machaon. Many lovely photos in here. Have a nice day.

I was looking at the post above and noticed the title of this post...don't know why I didn't notice the 'iron' part of it...I would have left the comment:

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, Baby!
