SATURDAY WAS MY DEAR HUBS BIRTHDAY. THIS IS A SLICE OF HIS BIRTHDAY CAKE WITH CHERRY PIE FILLING ON THE SIDE. IT’S THE KIND OF CAKE WE BOTH LIKE. I BAKE ONE FOR HIM ON HIS BIRTHDAY AND HE BAKES ONE FOR ME ON MINE. YES, HE REALLY DOES BAKE ONE FOR ME ALL BY HIMSELF.

I love how you sometimes use the comment to explain the picture. Nice to admire the photography for itself first and then get the story as well.
I think I see a dark chocolate cake with the cherries - berries and cocoa products go together so well! As do you and your hubby - many more happy, wonderful birthdays to you both!

I thought it was plums, which I can't eat (gives me hives) but it's CHERRIES, which I love!
I think baking a cake for someone you love is about the most romantic thing you can do.
