This is lovely, the sharing of different stages, full circle. And such lovely light on the bud.
Carletta: Very cool showing the stages of life.
I prefer life while we have it and you have shown the red rose well
I like it!
Hi Carletta, that is a great title for this photo. Another wonderful image you shared with us. Thank you so much. And thanks for stopping by my blog the other day. I hope you'll share some of your son's wedding photos, or if you have posted them before I will take a look further back, as I would love to see them.
Well done! Remarkable contrast in the blossoms. Excellent photo; thanks for sharing.
you know i have been searching for that name all summer. I always want to say old fashioned hollyhock ??
Really beautiful photos!
Lovely juxtaposition ... beautiful shadows too. Marvelous shot ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
Beautiful photo, even as they fade many flowers still have a certain beauty.
Fantastic imagery!
A beautiful title, and nice composition.
Love the thought and the shot.
Great photo! I am not sure I will have any rose of sharon photos this summer. I have not seen any around here! Boo Hoo!
I have never seen a Rose of Sharon before, it is beautiful. Thank you.
Sometimes you are just in the right place at the right time. Exquisite!
Carletta! We chose the same flower to feature today! We speak the same language!
Amazing capure!
Even at this stage, the wilting flower still look so pretty to me.
Hi Carletta,
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I know that flower, we grow a lot them in the backyard, we grow the white one. Hibiscus is called "gumamela" here in our country.

Wonderful juxtaposition, well-composed. Great theme.
I love what the image represents. Great catpure!
Absolutely beautiful image and title. Really stunning.
I like the comparison of the bud and faded blossom. Well done!
Your title is very appropriate, Carletta...and i love the looks of the old and the new! ;)
Very apt title here Carletta, clever post and very artistically shot. Is Rose of sharon a local name to hibiscus there? Coz here we call them Gumamela. BTW, thanks for playing along with the contest on my page, sad to say, somebody else won...til next time. Have a great week...
"Death and rebirth" tells the whole story. Excellent shot!
Very good! The change of color is what speaks to me. So interesting!
A nice combination of life and death Carletta. That's what its all about anyway.
I love the contrast in this photo. The fact that nature is in a constant state of renewal...
I find both blooms lovely!
I like the contrast, you show how the rose of sharon goes so fast.
