This is a photo of the church bell from the church I grew up in as a child. The church was rebuilt just over 20 years ago. Lightning struck the bell tower and burnt the church down. It was originally built in 1858.
Steel alloy church bell. Zapped by divine intervention.
Lovley sepia! :)
Mine is up too!
Anna
You've given new life to this church bell.
Her beautiful curves, the solid cast work, even the crack has its own poetry.
From Felisol
A lovely picture. The sepia type tone looks great...
You caught the bell's shine very well! Well done in sepia.
I thought you were kidding with your title. I love the shiny glow of the bell.
That is quite a story. I love how you have portrayed the bell.
Love the metellic feel of this, sepia is perfect for this photo! Love your music, too!
I wonder if the ring would be sharp or mournful with that crack. The bronze show up so well in sepia. A true classic!
I love your framing
Carletta, that's absolutely gorgeous. I'm guessing that it really was struck by lightning, yikes!
Carletta,
That looks great!
Very appealing capture. ;)
Next time I cahnge my blog title, I will be, Incorrigible Quilly!
Hi Carletta! Now this is a great sepia subject & the perfect shading - I like the shine w/ the sepia
lovely! is it still working?
A tribute to randomness.. the way I see it. Have they thought of puting it back up? Neat subject,Carletta!
Carletta, a beautiful composition!
Sepia is really perfect in this image!
Fabulous!!
Hey Carletta, that is a really neat shot and I love it in sepia. Of course you always come up with something nice.
Oooh I really like this Carletta.
Interesting info on this bell too.
Beautifully processed.
mag-ni-fique!
love the shot and the treatment you gave it. Hope you can stop by to see my sepia scene and window views Thanks!
An echo of it's past to remind you. Hauntingly beautiful.
Hi!
Beautiful Sepia on that bell! Makes it look so special! Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a great evening!

Beautiful Bell ...stunning in sepia
Ps gives me an idea for our sandstone church it is 150 yrs old this year and it has a bell tower.
Carletta, this could not be any better...wonderful in sepia. Love the framing.
Lightning can do that to metal?? Oi, I am duly impressed!
Nice photo.
Sorry, you wouldn't be able to cuddle those new kittens here near Jerusalem. They are too wild.
