At this time of year the water always looks dirty doesn't it? Great shot.

The river's edge looks exactly like spring is about to happen. I like that.

No matter how dark the water is, still it makes for a wonderful photo and good post for WW.

Is that a dock down there on this side of the river? Looks like a fine place to go fishin!

One of my favorite places to be, right on the river's edge. Interesting how that evergreen is so dark and green against the other threadbare trees.

yup, the river's edge is a great place to be.

Is there a spot for my fishing pole and I?

Whoa, that river looks quite swollen! I like your composition, with that pine's green to contrast with the water.

Muddy waters but a lovely picture for all that. Melt water?

The river looks a bit angry..It must have heard about the snow we had...@:}

Lovely spot to be! Is this another area near your home, Carletta?

Unknown said...

Look how green that pine is?

Hi Caletta, this looks like flood waters. :)

Nice shot!

It looks kind of chilly, windy and cold? Is it?
Maybe that's because it's chilly and rainy and windy here too!

Looks like that water is really moving (I have been in that position before with flooding)
great shot, hope it did not effect you though.
Happy WW!

Don't jump Carletta. :) That's a kind of neat picture with the one green tree right in the middle.

Carletta, these muddy waters make a poetic view.

The water does look muddy, doesn't it. I suppose that means land is being eroded somewhere. Not a good thing.

That water looks like the creeks and river around here...rapid and muddy.

Carletta: Neat capture of the creek.

I'd love to be sitting on that river's edge right now.

Your photos always make me feel like I'm standing there with you. River looks like it's moving pretty fast. Hope there are no floods in the future.

Carletta, That photo just says "spring" to me!! The muddy flood waters roiling along toward whatever lies in their future! The green of the lone pine tree! The branch of blossoms! But you can still see the browns of winter beneath the greens of spring! A magical time of year!

Great view of the river, it makes a lovely watery picture!

The water seems dirty...but I'm sure it still is beautiful, nature will be.

What a neat picture of the river bank. I like that old tree, although you can easily see signs of life when the picture is enlarged. It's a great contrast to the vibrant green of the evergreen.

I like this glimpse of the water's edge. The browns and greens, the motion of the water. I love the shape of the bare tree, it's branches seemingly reaching across to the pine tree.

Beautiful photo.
