What a cute bird and against the snow it is even more red. We don't have that colored birds here.

The ruby cardinal looks so beautiful as his crimson feathers are set against the mountain snow. He stands out wonderfully. His look is serious, perhaps awaiting his brown (with the red peak on top) mate as she looks for seeds...
This is a great photo of the cardinal and it's perfect for this meme. Cardinals are beautiful year around, but they really stand out against the snow.

I can't ever get enough of the cardinal! That is one red that is hard to describe and how the orange bill of the female can contrast so nicely with that red has always felt like a bit of creative genius to me!

I'm with Pagan Sphinx, can't ever get enough of red cardinals. They are simply gorgeous, and you've captured this one so well.
Lovely photo. A cardinal's color just "sings" out to the world. Wish I had a few more come by my birdfeeder. I did have a nest of them right outside my kitchen window last year, and it was pretty spectacular to watch them grow and change.

So beautiful and a wonderful picture! I'll never forget the first time we ever saw a cardinal (there aren't any on the West Coast)... I'd always heard of them, but never seen them -- I was so excited! They still make me happy although we've seen more than a few by now.
