From roof to bottom - they tried and tried to put color on the building - but it refused:) Looks like it keeps shedding the paint layer after layer - great find!
I like the building. How long has Pepsi been around?
Felisol
Outstanding! There is so much story in this frame. That store has a colorful history. ;)
Hmm...I'm trying to read the sign under the sign - FRESH MEATS is definitely some of those words. It's like no one bothered to bury the previous history layer, just one on top of the other, with the modern machines of Coke as the newest.
Interesting how commercialism becomes the tapestry of our lives.
I like your silo shot a few pages down as well.
What a great capture. But I couldn't help but notice that the larger of the two vending machines sells Coca-Cola!
Perfect choice for RT. Fascinating building.
Carletta, Oh how I'd love to repaint the building RED and white...not all by myself though! Ha! Happy Ruby Tuesday!
This brick building is great! The white paint on the bricks is fading and the newer Pepsi advertisement cannot cover up the older hardware store signage. And I notice the oddity of the Coke machine sitting just in front of the Pepsi 'bottle'. A nice view of the old, new and all the eras in-between...
Unique advertisement! Great shot. Have a wonderful day :)
Great photo. Look at all the character that building has! Love the roof. The signage, at least two generations that I see, and a Coke machine to top it all off. Very well done.
I like this building, too. From the rooftop to the bottom.
Happy RT!

Now I am thirsty and not a soda in the house. Ice tea it is for me. :D
OMGOSH...this is just awesome. Boy, I'd love to have a painting of this fabulous old building...without the new drink dispensers, tho! :O)
GREAT POST...
This is a great shot and remined me of some pics I took a few years ago with that "other cola" I will have to hunt them up. I did a quick scan of some of your recent posts, you have some magnificent shots! Happy R.T.!!
So cool! What a great building.
my husband worked for coca cola for 35 years...nice advertising...
Ah the old pepsi logo. I miss it. great find.
Very cool for RT I noticed there is a Coke machine sitting right next to it!
It was very nice of them to set up some Pepsi vending machines here isn't it? I love these old advertisements painted on the sides of buildings.
Great shot! I'm a Coke person...:)
Hi Carletta, this is a neat RT picture. Even your white painted building is trying to go back red again.
Did you know that dyed blondes' hair always tries to go back red (or whatever) again too. Generall it starts at the bottom just like your building. :-)
Happy RT, I like your new blog.
..
I like the roof on this building.
I see what you mean about nostalga. I think this photo is terrific. Where are you in West Virginia?
That building says lot about pepsi..
happy RT!
Your point and click technique seems to be working. Your Pepsi building is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. Yes, I am a Star Wars fan. May the Force be with you too.
Great old store, and I love the way the new soda machine is Coke, not Pepsi. That really makes the shot.
This is a great shot, and a sweet find ! The new machines do look out of place. They couldn't have found a worst place to put them :)
I love it !
That we have almost a similar shot makes me grin :D
You caught this well! I love the fading paint on the wall and the competition between Pepsi and Coke. Great find!
Hahaha ! great picture !
i like this photo. the building has character.:D
Hi. I am so glad that I wandered over here from Ake's place. I LOVE your photos. I am a wannabe photographer so I am trying to soak up as much as I can from all of you who obviously have a true eye. This shot brings back lots of memories for me. Well-done! I am also a 'retired' educator. I will be back to visit.Take care.
Great shot! I love Pepsi! Happy RT
that's a great photo!!
you should send it to Pepsi marketing people :)
Neat shot! So much to look at. Interesting roof and paint job. Loved your flower below too.
What a wonderful old building. Like Leora, I was trying to peel the layers of paint away. My eye spied Hardware to add to the fresh meat in the old(er) sign. Great RT shot
What a great old building and it looks like it is still use unless that OPEN sign in the window stays continually lit up.
Thanks for visiting...
I love it and noticed the Coca Cola machine also :)
Great capture!
Deb
A lovely old building Carletta, great photo!
a less expensive way of advertising, huh?
thanks for stopping by my blogs!:)
Marvelous find ...
I'm a Pepsi gal myself when I drink soda ... always have preferred it to Coca Cola ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
I think that all the others have covered all of the things I first noticed. I do love this picture. Great capture.
Looks as if the building has certainly expressed its opinion on the --- which is better debate.
Carletta you seem to find such intresting buildings. Good capture.
I'll stick with Diet Coke - thanks! ;)
The Real thing has been out shadowed by the Big One. haha! I also took a picture of a mural with their ad, for one month it said POP and the following month it said LOL. I love the character of the building.
Wonderful! Love the modern vending machines with the mural backdrop.
I like the coke machine with the huge pepsi advertisement. Like the design on the roof too.
